Prof Laird is amazing! She's so down to earth, extremely knowledgeable, and manages class discussions so well. She manages to bring in new information to every class as well as tying it with things we bring up in discussion and current events to make it as relevant and interesting as possible. The readings for this class were genuinely fascinating if you are interested in politics and feminism. I learned so much from her and this class. The final project is a lot of work but because we got to choose a topic of our choice so it felt enjoyable and interesting rather than just busy work. I would highly recommend this class! |

Amazing, funny, friendly, and engaging. Discussions are hilarious. Projects and recordings are tough but manageable. Best government courses I ever took here at UMD! She is so knowledgeable with pop culture and racial relations. Bubbly and fun! |
