Genuinely amazing professor. Taught the concepts really well and was also super open to any questions or related topics or even ways to do things that weren't originally part of the lecture. The class felt very interactive as a result, and, if you paid attention, you really got a lot out of it. In addition, Leo is also super easy to talk to about topics during or after class - and is generally just always very approachable. He's very enthusiastic about what he teaches and you can really tell. Class discussion was over Discord so you can get very quick feedback on any quick questions on the content or assignments. The projects were all really fun while remaining adequately challenging and workload was never too high. Leo made this probably my favorite class at UMD and I cannot recommend him highly enough. |

I didn't take away much from this class, but that's kind of my fault for slacking off. All in all the professor is great and explains things well. Just be prepared to spend a good amount of time on each project. The midterm was pretty fair though. |
