Declan is such a kind prof. The work in this class is so easy and not too much at all. I never felt stressed from this class ever. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone. Declan is not only kind but super understanding. They are always in a good mood, which makes this class easier to attend. The hw is really light and no final exam or midterms. Just weekly discussion posts. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Professor Langton was a really nice professor for this class, and their passion for landscape literature was pretty infectious and made the readings feel a lot more fun to read and talk about. They were also really good at building up a welcoming atmosphere for class discussions where you feel comfortable contributing to the conversation. The selected readings were all pretty interesting - there was a good mix of sci-fi/speculative fiction, short stories, essays, and even poetry and journalism pieces. In terms of grading, they are very understanding and flexible with assignment deadlines. The 2 essays and final project all had a free 24 hour grace period after the due date for you to submit if you needed extra time, and you could always reach out to them if you needed a larger extension. The only other graded assignments were weekly discussion posts (~200 words each) in response to assigned readings, and they're pretty informal and mostly just graded for completion.

Great teacher! very easy grading style and gives very reasonable amount of homework (usually just need to do a 5-10 page reading per class) and occasionally work on the essays that are due throughout the semester. Class discussion is very chill and teacher is willing to communicate with students about issues or questions.
