This class' lecture was 75 minutes long and for the first hour they would explain what research is and play a series of videos you may already know a lot about. Then, they would assign a document to work with other people in the last 15 minutes of class, so you had to rush to get it all done. On top of this, laptops had to be closed so everyone was either falling asleep, doodling, or texting under the desks. In the future hopefully they improve the structure of lectures and make the content more engaging. The TA's for discussion made it thoroughly enjoyable, and the work was more relevant I felt. Overall Lansverk is super kind, understanding, and cool, though! (You lowkey have to take this class for GEMS so just tough it out, should be an easy A if you do work on time!) |

She's a fine professor, just this class was so boring and you couldn't even use your computer. It felt like a waste of time considering it was teaching how to do research, which most people know how to do already. |

Class is free A as long as you go to lecture and tune in (like every other gems class). However, the lectures for this class were barely relevant and it would've been better just to have more time to work with our teams (everyone just does hw during lecture cuz they're not important whatsoever for your team). Lansverk is very nice though and she is very responsive. |
