Do not take this professor if you appreciate instructors at least respecting the syllabus. He changed the syllabus at the last minute without plenty of notice or even a formal announcement on elms. Lacks organization in general; the syllabus said 12 quizzes, and when there were less than 12 instruction days left, he doubled up some of the quizzes. Very unfair for students who missed just one class and ended up missing two quizzes. In written exams, the questions are detailed and require even more detailed answers. Be prepared to memorize a lot, to not make any mistakes. Be very careful of every single word you put on that paper. The feedback feels disproportionate to the grade, and there is not even a rubric to understand exactly what to fix for the next exam. He is a knowledgable professor in ethics, however the overal lack of organization was super stressful so I would not recommend. |

He may seem nice at first, but overall he’s a very difficult professor to deal with. His lectures are often boring and hard to stay engaged with, and you’re not allowed to use any digital devices at all. There are three exams during the semester, and although he posts the questions ahead of time, the grading feels unfair. Even if you talk to him about your answer beforehand and he agrees it’s good, he still won’t give full credit and takes off a lot of points. At the end of every class, you have to answer an “exit ticket” question just to get credit for showing up. If you’re trying to get an A, I would NOT recommend this class, it’s stressful, poorly graded, and honestly not worth it. |
