Courtney Lau Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/21/2025	Professor Lau is very nice and it was her first semester teaching. Therefore, I want to disclaim that I believe Professor Lau can be a great professor, she is just new. My biggest problem with this class was that I learned practically nothing. I also skipped like half the classes and got an A- somehow? Anyways, she is very open to feedback so I have hope future semesters will be better!
Courtney Lau THET285 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/18/2025	I took this class to fill my oral comm Gen Ed requirement, but I actually love this class. I can confidently say Professor Lau improved my public speaking and I'm not great at giving speeches. Your homework in this class is only outlines and practicing your speeches and she actually gives you a good grade if you put in effort. The class isn't time consuming and the things you discuss and learn in this class are actually interesting. Highly recommend people to take this class even if you're not in a theater major(I'm CS).
Courtney Lau Expecting an A Anonymous 12/17/2025	Prof. Lau is an amazing teacher and really kind. Her lessons are engaging, applicable, but not a high course load if you are looking for a gen ed.
Courtney Lau THET285 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/17/2025	Professor Lau is truly an amazing professor. Expect to give around 6 speeches. She makes the classroom environment very welcoming, so even if you aren't huge about speaking in front of people it really isn't that bad. There's maybe an assignment or two outside of your speeches which aren't hard, and you really will gain a good amount from this class with some effort put towards your various speeches. 10/10 WOULD RECCOMEND
Courtney Lau THET285 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/12/2025	Amazing teacher, very understanding, brings the class together, and appreciates everyone that comes to class. Very interactive class with very little assignments as most assignments are just speeches and she provides excellent feedback for you to improve on the next one.
Courtney Lau Expecting an A Anonymous 12/10/2025	This class goes into depth about presentation, not just about saying the right words. It’s super applicable to career and public speaking in general. Overall Prof. Lau is a really kind and understanding instructor. Highly recommend!
Courtney Lau THET285 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/08/2025	Easy comm requirement class. Prof Lau is so chill and super kind. She really helps you grow as a speaker and makes the class really fun. In the class you give about 6 speeches and she's a very easy grader as long as you put effort in to be a good speaker.
Courtney Lau THET285 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/05/2025	Took this class for gen ed requirement. Ms. Lau is a great teacher, she is nice, easygoing, and wants you to succeed. In this course you have to give around 6 speeches in class, and a few asynchronous assignments. It's not that hard to get an A.
