This class was the absolute WORST. Took it because I thought it would be relatively easy/interesting but it was none of that. The professor's instructions are extremely unclear, and he barely gives any useful feedback. the TA does not help either. None of them will give you clear answers and you will be lost for the majority of the class. If you do not complete the assignment 100% correctly in the way he wants it, you will get points off for anything you add or do not add that he wants to see. I cannot even count the amount of times I have cried over the work assigned. Coding the research makes absolutely no sense, and that is all we do in this class. The information we are learning is equivalent to that of GRAD SCHOOL. I have never been more miserable during a semester. If you thought psyc 200 or 300 was bad, good luck with this one. Please take my advice and do not make the mistake I made, and if anyone understands this class, you've got the brain of a Harvard student.

I took his psych 334 and 240 course. He's a great teacher. Very organized, nice and, helpful. Show up and do your work and you'll be fine.

One of my favorite courses and professors at UMD. I learned so much about relationships in this class and it was all very interesting.

The class is super interesting. He has a mandatory participation grade so people are all forcing questions right before spring break and the end of the semester, so it's kind of annoying. Also, he does 10 random in-class assignments but doesn't tell you when they'll be and there's no way to figure it out so you kind of always have to show up. If you miss one (like I did), your grade will drop and it will be difficult to recover because there's so few assignments. The exams are honestly more about textbook material and specific studies mentioned, so I would definitely recommend actually reading through those. Dr. Lemay is a nice and approachable seeming professor, I just wasn't really a fan of the assignment distribution and the random assignments. Also, the TAs would harshly grade the HW for literally no reason.

Does not look like he is 47, looks A LOT younger. Good professor, posts slides before the lecture, explains thoroughly.
