Professor Lin is actually the best professor I've had at UMD. I make it a point to go to every class because I feel like each one is worth so much, invaluable knowledge. Especially if you're into Robotics, AI, AR/VR, Audio Engineering, etc. there is a lot you can learn from her. She's highly inspirational, knowledgable, was the former head of the CS department as well. And the only professor in the CS department in my opinion that makes lectures engaging, asking questions to the class, making jokes, etc. Amazing!!! Truly. Taking her class will be the best decision :) Also, exams are pretty easy like the recent one we took was verbatim to the study guide basically. She wants you to succeed and show a general understanding, she's not trying to make you fail! |

Professor Lin is a super nice and friendly professor and also highly knowledgeable about her field. Her lectures contain all sorts of interesting insights beyond the lecture notes, which are themselves very solid. I learned a lot in her course. Professor Lin is also very quick to respond to emails and happy to meet with students outside of class to help out with the class project and answer any questions. |
