I'm hesitant to write a negative review, but I find them very helpful when picking classes, so I hope this helps someone else. Professor Logan seems like a nice person, but the overall structure of her class requires a review. She is heavy on lecture material - quizzes, assignments, exams. There is not additional reading required outside of the content covered in her lectures. Her lectures are pretty monotone and dull. That being said, the slides are posted online and so is an in-depth description and quite frankly, that's all you need. You can get away with not going to lecture, just make sure to attend quiz days. She doesn't have many grades she puts in but does take a while to get in homework grades and extra credit points. Her general feedback is lacking (as in non-existent) in regard to quizzes and exams and isn't very insightful when it comes to homework. The homework is nice in theory but doesn't offer much in terms of more in-depth understanding the content. The exams are long and require a lot of memorizing of niche details from any of the lecture slides as there is no cheat sheet allowed. The class (EHDH460) isn't hard but is worth taking with a more engaging professor. |

This is a hybrid class Tuesdays are just a recorded lecture and Thursday is a lecture where she just reads off the slides very boring doesn't make it engaging. She has bi-weekly quizzes that are multiple choice, fill in the blank, and written response. The quizzes will make or brake your grade since they are so heavily weighed. She does not provide a study guide for quizzes, midterm, or final. |

Easy class, but exams and quizzes are unfair with no extra credit offered |

Not the best professor. Teaches about education yet doesn't apply those concepts to herself. Wouldn't recommend her teaching this class. It's basically teach yourself, come to class for quizzes, and study for the exam. She's extremely boring and probably needs to evaluate her teaching methods. |

This class was relatively easy in terms of work, and so was the grading. HOWEVER, this was one of the most painful classes I have ever had. Going to class felt insanely unproductive, and like I could have taught myself the lesson by reading the slides within 30 minutes. It was incredibly boring. I understand that this is one of her first years teaching, but Logan's teaching style desperately needs improvement. Thursday classes consist of her talking at us for an hour and fifteen minutes through the least engaging lecture ever. Her feedback on assignments is incredibly contradictory and feels unnecessary. In this situation, she wrote a 500-word response to my assignment. Usually, I would appreciate the abundance of feedback to help me better on assignments. In her response, she primarily talked about her negative opinion of my writing style and described my inability to understand the content. I felt this was highly unprofessional, and I would have much rather appreciated a meeting or response in which we could have discussed solutions to improve. Additionally, there is no study guide for the final. Instead, she rattles off a list of things to study for about thirty minutes without any slides. For a 100-question final, it would have been helpful to receive a study guide, like I did in all of my other classes. I really do not recommend taking this course with this professor. The course content itself is easy to grasp, but this class becomes difficult when the instructor acts as such. |

Margaret is a good professor. The class is pretty straight forward, weekly online quizzes on the chapter and then a lecture in class which is kind of boring. There are a few short writing assignments throughout the year and the exams are all multiple choice and very easy most of the time kind of obvious (they are just like the study guide). she is a very easy grader and gave me an extension when I asked. |

Margaret is an amazing and caring professor. This class is hybrid, so on Tuesdays, we just had to watch a lecture and take a weekly quiz, which was easy. Attendance isn't mandatory on Thursdays, and she posts all slides. Exams effectively reflect the quizzes and study guides, so it is not hard to do well in this class. There are several papers, but all were very manageable, and she is a forgiving grader. This class is very interesting as well, I highly suggest taking this class! I was nervous going into this class because its a 400 level and I am a sophomore, but I honestly found it much easier than my other classes. |

She's a really great professor :) She genuinely cares about her students and wants each one to succeed. I took EDHD460 with her. The class has consistent weekly deadlines and she's understanding about late work if you communicate. I took it partially online so there were weekly readings and quizzes to do asynchronously. The readings could be time-consuming sometimes but they were full of interesting content. The in-person classes were pretty much reviews of the readings but mainly focused on applying the content. I really enjoyed this class and Margaret's fun teaching style. The exams were also fair if you did the readings. |
