Prof. Mallick is my favorite professor that I have ever had. You can tell that she's passionate about what she teaches and wants everyone to do well. The course is interesting, but she also has done a really good job of keeping everyone engaged in the way that she has structured it. It is definitely manageable and the activities apply to real world issues. She's incredibly personable and understanding. She definitely makes sure to connect with everyone in the class. I really recommend taking this class with her! |

She is really passionate about what she teaches. She always made class enjoyable and she genuinely felt like a good person even outside the classroom. |

The class itself is easy if you do your work. The workload is very doable and the material is interesting however not the best professor. She is EXTREMELY boring. Personally, I felt like her classroom was not very inclusive and there were many times where I did not feel included and I felt like I wasn't treated the same as everyone else. Also, you have to participate (10% of your grade is participation points), theres a in-class presentation and a small group project. Overall the class itself is fine I just would have enjoyed this class more with a different professor. |

The best professor ever, her teaching style is so considerate of everyone in the class. She makes sure that everyone understands the material and the assignments. She walks through them which is super helpful, along with her feedback. |

Professor Mallick is by far the kindest and most dedicated professor I have had at Maryland. She has always gone out of her way to help her students succeed and gives each student all the individualized time they need. The content in her course is very relevant and interesting. She found many ways to make each assignment unique and relevant to the real world. I really admire Professor Mallick for her passion and the way she engages her students. |

She is such a dedicated professor and will set you up for success. The content is really interesting. I have learned a ton and really feel that this is an area that I would like to pursue because of this class. The assignments are straightforward (if you do the work) and she is always open to questions. I highly recommend her class! |

She is okay. She is not the worst but also not the best. She is passionate about what she teaches, but it is honestly SO boring. Maybe because it was an 8 am lecture, but nobody wanted to be there. I would recommend taking someone else if you truly want to learn something. Overall, her weekly quizzes are a hit or miss, sometimes, they would reflect the lecture notes/readings, and sometimes they would be so far off. I think she is a good person, but that does not correlate with being a good teacher. If there are any other better professors, I would recommend them because missing points on the quizzes are not the greatest feeling for things you can't even study for, and it drops your grade. Also, make sure you attend every single class because she randomly assigns a class reflection where you only get the information in class, and if you're not in class, you will miss the question. Also, she adds extra information in the slides that she presents vs. the ones that she gives in elms. If you are absent, you just miss out on the information, and then you have to stay during office hours, but she doesn't reteach the material. Also, she talks so softly that it is hard to hear her sometimes. |

She is probably the favorite professor I've had in undergrad or at least very close up there. She is so passionate about what she does, always engages with students- she'll write down your questions if she doesn't know the answer and bring it back up next lecture. She is also so adorable, she seems like the best Mom ever and always has the best fits, love going to class and feel like I really learned so much. 310 is really doable, super interesting and engaging, and not much work aside from a weekly lecture quiz and discussion/response-type assignment, highly recommend. |
