MATH141 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 08/22/2023 |
After I got a D in my previous semester, I retook 141 with Martinez and got a B+. He's a nice instructor, and is very generous on curves (which is sort of expected, as his exams were on the harder side... averaging 40-60). He gave curves on each exam; in one instance, my 47 became a 73. He also gave letter grade adjustments at the end of the semester, making my B into a B+. However, just realize that he doesn't necessarily go over various types of problems that you'll see on the exam during his class time. I didn't utilize his office hours as I felt that I didn't need them at the time, but you should ASAP if you feel iffy about the material (which basically broadly applies to every class). He also doesn't have great handwriting, but that is kind of expected for a math instructor. |
