She made getting an A very difficult. While she was very nice, she wasn't a great lecturer. I was excited about this class initially, but then it turned into weekly presentations and minimal assignments which were really tedious. I repeat, she was very nice but she was just not a great professor.

Aida is a very kind person. But she does not seem passionate when teaching which leaves you feeling like I could have been doing something better. When teaching she assumed you knew all the concepts. This made it very difficult to understand the majority of the things being said. Felt like I was in a math class at times, you doze off for a second and you are completely lost. And asking questions didn't really help much when she can't even explain the concept to you in the first place. This was not a good experience.

Aida's great. Simply put, she's willing to answer all questions and encourages everyone to ask questions. The amount of work isn't unreasonable in her class, but the assigned readings do become too much at a point. I found myself struggling to understand about half of them, resulting in the final paper to be a huge puzzle.

Many people would probably say that the reading in this class is too much but the class is pretty easy and as long as you put in good effort you can come out with a good grade. Make sure you do the readings because even though she drops the bottom 4 that won't make up for bad grades on every quiz, and they only have 4 questions each. As long as you look at the review slides and study properly the tests are fair, and she is happy to provide feedback on the final paper if you want to get a good grade. Definitely a gen ed worth taking if you're willing to put in a completely reasonable amount of work for your grade.

Professor Roige is a good professor, not amazing, but a very kind person. A lot of reading before every class and in class reading quizzes out of four points. She drops your four worst reading quizzes at the end of the semester but that does not mean you should not read. There are multiple extra credit opportunities that will help out your grade on the reading quizzes. One big paper that is due at the end of the semester with two separate drafts due throughout the semester. Very passable class if you read, pay attention, and put in effort.

Just so you know, theres a lot of reading and a bunch of theoretical arguments that are either irrelevant (like "how would it feel to be a bat") or never actually reach a conclusion and just keep going in circles. If arguing about theories and things you really cant prove sounds interesting to you, take the class. Miss Aida is a good teacher however, your definitely not going to fail. Put some effort and you'll get a B easy. Youll have to take notes, read, do a little self study, and pay rapt attention to her lectures to get an A. Like I said, she's good (not really great) but you wont regret taking her if you enjoy the topic. She's mad friendly too

Took the course asynchronously. Interesting class, but can be difficult at times to learn all the concepts. Aida was a great teacher though and posted lectures weekly and had an average of 2 prelecture and 2 post lecture exams weekly. Midterm and final was "take-home" so getting a good grade wasn't much of an issue.
