Dr. Matar truly cares about the success of her students. Grading was fair and not too critical. She challenges the students just enough to help them learn. She is always open to help, especially in office hours. Dr. Matar responds quickly to emails. The content of the course was war, but the FREN387 curriculum changes each semester. Overall, a knowledgeable professor & she provides great feedback and ample opportunities to improve on work. |

I loved Dr. Matar. She was so kind and encouraging and made class discussions super interesting. She also always offered helpful and in-depth comments/feedback on assignments. Would definitely recommend taking her for any French class! |

Dr. Matar is the sweetest person ever and really cares about her students. There is some reading that comes with this class but most of it is actually really interesting. She really knows her stuff and shares so much of her knowledge with her students which is something I really appreciated. |
