I had high hopes for this class, but unfortunately it really fell flat. Dr. Maziad is very nice, I wouldn’t go as far as saying she is a good professor. We just did readings and had awkward breakout room discussions over Zoom with her popping in occasionally to make sure we were actually talking. Not a single assignment of mine was graded until after finals week began, so I had no idea if I was on the right track or if I had anything to improve on. This class simply isn’t worth the time, so I don’t really recommend it. |

Not a good professor. Incredibly boring lectures, all she does is talk for 45 minutes, and then sends you into a breakout room (she comes into the breakout rooms and continues to go on long speeches). Also hasn’t put in any grades for the entire semester, it’s past the final date for grades and I still have no idea what I got in the course. |

Not an enjoyable class. All the professor does is silently stare at her screen in between going on long and drawn out monologues. It doesn't seem like the course has any structure, she just chooses a topic to talk about for an hour and a half the day the lecture is held. Also haven't gotten any grades until the very last day of the semester. |

Nice lady, but not the best professor. She doesn't have any lecture slides, and classes consist of painfully boring conversations of the weekly readings (which there are a LOT of). It is currently finals week, and she still has not graded a single assignment of mine or many of my classmates. Theoretically, this should be an interesting class, but the format and teaching style just doesn't work. |

Completely agree with the other reviewer, she means well and is nice and encourages discussion, but the way she frames her lectures are impossible. She sits there sharing her Zoom screen just yapping, and expects everyone to at least say one thing (IN A ZOOM COURSE?) + she doesn't even record lectures (its literally an extra button to press). Only reason for 2 stars is because she was nice enough to let me turn in an assignment after the deadline. |

Very boring professor who sits on zoom sharing her screen of the readings and just speaks for what feels like ages. No slides or anything to bolster the content of the readings. Expects everyone to at least say one thing per class. |
