Raph's enthusiasm and knowledge on the topics covered are exactly what you want out of a professor! He's also there to help if you need it. Bonus points if you like baseball (he loves fantasy baseball)!

I LOVE Raph. He always offers to help his students and provides any assistance they need. I took this class in Fall of 2022 and it was in-person for the first 3 weeks then asynchronous. It was super easy and definitely an interesting course. We had an assignment each Monday and Wednesday then our Friday discussions met in-person.

I took this class online in Summer 2022 and the professor was amazing. The professor is knowledgeable and passionate of the course content, so you will feel very engaged in the class instead of feeling bored. There were a lot of video lecture recordings to watch. The professor made sure that each recording gave all details about the topic of that recording. Active participation really matters since this is a communication course. Homework assignments were easy since a majority of the assignments is to post replies on the lecture questions, as well as writing a few paragraphs for the theory application logs. The final paper is time-consuming given the specific requirements that you have to fulfill, but so long as you do the research and paper several days before the due date/deadline, then you are set. The only downside of the course is the assigned readings, as some of the readings are really long. Overall, this course is great and the professor is awesome.

I took this class online and it was super easy. We had some reading quizzes and a few speeches. The speeches were recorded and turned in via video. We had an introductory speech, an information speech, a revised informational speech, a persuasive speech, and a special occasion speech. The final was another speech about what we learned and improved on throughout the class. The professor was very understanding and during the winter semester when I went on vacation and one of my hotels had bad wifi he let me turn in my assignment a day late without any points taken off. Overall hes a very nice guy and I highly recommend anyone who is struggling with public speaking to take the online version if you are uncomfortable with the classroom version

Nice guy. His lectures are pretty interesting. He's young and has some cool stories to tell. Pretty relaxed class just STUDY for the tests because they are pretty tricky and do all the participation work.
