This class is fairly easy and straightforward, especially if you've taken a geometry course in high school. Professor McLaren is approachable and eager to help her students in any way she can. She explains all of the concepts clearly and makes them easy to understand. While her voice is calming, I sometimes wish she had a bit more energy to keep things more engaging. That said, her lessons are always concise and easy to follow.

Professor McLaren was an awesome professor! She was always prepared for class and was very thorough in her instruction. She always paused throughout the lecture to answer any questions as they came up (including private messages in the Zoom chat), and she was always willing to stay afterwards to answer individual questions. She was also very responsive to email, which I really appreciated as well. I always felt equipped to do any homework assignment or assessment, and I think that is largely due to how well Professor McLaren taught the material. The XYZ homework was a great resource because it allowed me to really grasp the concepts we were learning, and if I needed more help, I could watch a help video or see a similar example problem. Also, the weeklong deadlines for homework and assessments really eased the pressure for me of trying to rush through the assignments to make a deadline (although I did try as best as possible to keep up with the pace and not save all the homework assignments for the weekend). I don't really have any changes for this course- I really appreciated the virtual format as it was very convenient and accommodating with my schedule. One of the best decisions I've made to take this class over the summer.

Math212 is the easiest class you will ever take. We go over addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, but we learn why we use certain algorithms to solve them. Some of it is interesting, but people tend to fall asleep in her classes because she has a very soothing voice. Not too many projects, but there is a quiz every Friday. The tests can be tricky if you have trouble explaining math.
