Cullen Merritt PLCY201 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/14/2025	Dr. Merritt is a great professor and teaches the material in a very engaging way that makes it stick with you. He brings real-life examples into his classes and I really enjoyed the group discussions when you were able to engage with your classmates. He is very organized on canvas and there wasn't too much work to complete outside of class other than answering a few questions to be discussed in class. The only thing that got to me were his very long speeches each class where he was essentially preaching to us and could feel a little condescending at times, especially when he would ask us to parrot information back to him or have us that confirm that "we learned today" at the end of every class. But he is very nice and has a big interest in learning your name and forming a relationship with you so his class is definitely worth it to take!
Cullen Merritt PLCY201 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/07/2025	After the first week I was going to drop this class because Dr. Merritt intimidated me, however do not be intimidated!!!! This class was so fun and truly not that difficult. Through his teaching and the effort he puts in it is so obvious that he cares deeply about his students. This class genuinely made me consider switching to public policy. Worth it for honestly any major!
Cullen Merritt PLCY201 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/06/2025	Fun & chill class, don't be intimidated! It is all exam and participation based. There are 3 exams, all written, but also all based upon the discussion questions discussed in class and done at home. There are only two assignments that are filler, and they are opinion based. He really cares about students. Be warned though: there will be a quite a few speeches he gives that can be preachy, but they come from a place of caring. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ANYTHING RELATING TO: management, business, public policy, gov, law school, education, and literally anything that involves leadership or talking to others.

Cullen Merritt PLCY201 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 02/19/2025	Such a great professor. I love his way of teaching and engagement with his students. The class is very organized and interactive. He truly wants you to succeed and gives a life lesson and advice every class. A truly remarkable instructor. I didn't expect it to be my favorite class this semester, but it is all thanks to Professor Merritt. I recommend this class to anyone! No matter if you are a public policy major or not!
