I ended with an A- in this class but for a while I was expecting a B. First 2 exams are hard, 2nd is much harder than first so study well for the first. Quizzes can be a little tricky too because there are random facts from the textbook you must know. Everything is open note which is great but you need to know what chapter things are in. Make sure to go to every class because extra credit is given and it boosted my grade at the end. |

Prof. Milton is a really cool guy, he has a lot of life stories as he's been in pretty much every industry under the sun. Been in a lot of director, CEO type spots. Offers a good amount of extra credit, be sure to show up to class as he takes attendance, plus class is where you'll see the extra credit opportunities. Exams and quizzes are open-book, open-note, if you study just a little bit and know how to search the index of the book and skim the chapters, you should be good to go to get an 80+ on each exam. Homeworks are easy 100s if you put the time into them as it's "do until you get it right". Lecturing could be very boring though, often felt like droning on and on. And yeah, the cold calling sucks. It does keep you on your toes though.. because nothing's worse than zoning out and all of a sudden he's asking you about filing statuses. |

His class is pretty standard. Lecture involves power points and practice questions and homework is just Connect HW and SmartBook. Milton is a pretty nice guy with real world experience but he does like to cold-call sometimes. |

The lectures are a little boring but he's a nice guy. His lectures are like conversations and he'll ask you questions you don't know how to answer, but just participate and guess and you'll be fine. You can't be afraid of sounding a little stupid if you get the question wrong. HWs are a big part of the grade and exams are open book (you'll need to buy a physical version of the book). |

I had Milton for 323 and 417, and contrary to the one review on this website, I thought he was great. Milton is a slow talker and he is not that interesting, but I still think he is a great professor as a whole. Use of class time: He spends class going through the publishers power points, which have example problems in them, and if you pay attention you will learn from his lectures. Usually the class before and exam we will play jeopardy. Homework: For homework, he uses McGrawhill Connect. You will have one assignment every week, they are not long and are not too hard. You also get unlimited tries, so everyone should be able to get 100%. Homework is 30% of your grade which is great. Textbook: This is one of those classes where you should read the textbook (about 1 chapter a week). The exams are open book, and it is much easier to take advantage of that if you have read the book and can navigate it easily. Quizzes: We did not have quizzes for 323, but we did for 417. They are all multiple choice and open book/notes. Exams: The exams are all multiple choice and open book/ notes. They are very fair, and Milton gives more than enough time for exams and quizzes. Also he often recycles quiz and jeopardy questions for exams. |

He is just about the worst teacher at the Smith School. Boring like hell! I challenge people to stay awake in his class, let alone learn something. |
