Super easy class! There’s no work other than 3 exams. He gives you the questions on the exam the class before. Only on Monday nights not bad at all. He posts all the slides if you ever miss class |

TAKE PROFESSOR MITCHELL! As someone who loves criminal justice courses already, he genuinely made my passion for it grow stronger. He tells a lot of stories about his personal experience, life working at UMPD, etc. It helps you to feel connected to the class and him as a professor. For exams, the week before (at the end of class) he gives a run down of everything that will be on the exam. Make sure that when he begins to go through everything you have your computer out and ready to jot things down. I always jotted down things I heard and worried about grammar corrections later. He goes pretty quickly but I was always able to get down every single thing he mentioned which helped me in studying. Studying is fairly easy and memorization/familiarity will get you a good grade. I could write all day about this course and professor. The ratings are 100% accurate and genuine. He is seriously a great professor and I loved the class. The class being later in the evening is not so bad since it is only 1 day of the week. He also gives everyone a group bathroom, water, or snack break about an hour in which helps. |

This is a fun course. Despite it being 2.5 hours, it's only on Monday nights and professor Mitchell is a wonderful storyteller. Formerly, Professor Mitchell has served as police chief for multiple counties (currently UMPD), has been chief of the Maryland State Police, and has served for the department of Homeland Security. In addition, Professor Mitchell also has his JD. Thus he is extremely informed and knowledgeable not only on course material but also on life and leadership skills. He is more than willing to be a reference for his students in the future, and write letters of recommendation. He is a kind man who wants all of his students to succeed and the class only consists of 3 exams which are very passable. |

This man is so nice. He talks a lot and rambles and most of the time fills up almost the whole 2.5 hours but its only 3 exams for the whole class and if you go over your notes and read the book its so simple. He tells you everything that will be on the test and gives you barely any information to know. Super interesting super nice and a chill easy class taught by a police officer with cool stories. Definitely take him |

He's a great professor. Just do the readings and take good notes in lecture and you'll be fine. He also provides a break roughly in the middle of the lectures since the class is 2 and a half hours. You should definitely take advantage of extra credit, it helped me out a lot. |

I liked the class. There are 3 (50) question multiple choice exams and that’s it. He’s the Police chief of UMD. He offers extra credit, a police ride along for 5 extra percentage points. He rambles a bit about stories from his experience that will not be on the exam but it’s interesting. He also post the slides on line |
