She is one of my least favorite professors for a couple of reasons. She is extremely rude if you ask questions and just expects you to know the answers. Also, there are hardly any assignments, which is fine, but then she grades them very harshly. In terms of the course, there are not many cybersecurity courses at UMD, so I took it. The actual content is fine and actually great stuff to learn, and I think it could be a great class with a better professor. |

Kathleen Moore is by far the worst professor I've had. She is very pretentious and condescending. She runs the class in a strange way and doesn't assign anything until halfway through the semester and then all at once. With the busy schedule of other classes its easy to forget you are even taking this class. The final project is focused more on "attention to detail" with format and punctuation rather than the actual subject. When students ask her for help she just tells them to go back and read the slides even if they have, she insists all the answers are there. She doesn't offer any lenience or extensions as if her class is the only class and the problem is actually you. Unfortunately the interesting topics of this class are ruined by the stress of working with her. I've considered asking her where she works so I can avoid working there like the plague. |

Kathleen Moore has to be one of the worst professors I've ever had. Firstly, she showed up 4 weeks late to her own course and assigned us our first assignment 8 weeks into the course, followed by 5 more. Secondly, her canvas layout is incredibly unorganized and impossible to comprehend. Lastly, she's a very tough grader who hyper fixates on the little things such as font and the use of 'too many descriptive words! She also grades inaccurately and has docked points off my assignments for being 'late' when in reality they were turned in before the due date. Save yourself the stress and avoid her as a professor. |
