She seems like an okay person, but the way she grades is terrible. She does not provide rubrics for some of her assignments so most of her grading seems to be on a whim. Very small classroom size and the subject is pretty surface-level topics on racism and intersectionality. She refuses to provide her class lecture slides for whatever reason, even if you provide an excused absence. I would not recommend this class unless you are required to take it.

I think this course and Professor Wyse alike have good intentions but don't deliver. I cannot name one thing I learned in this course, it served more as a group therapy session. Only about 20% of the students showed up to each class on a good day. The "lectures" are just reiterations of well-understood terms like 'racism' and 'feminism'. Professor Wyse is a nice professor and cares about her students if you agree with her politics. The class structure is overall very easy, with not too many assignments and an easy A. Overall, if you don't have to take this class, save your money and time.

Professor Wyse is a great person and very encouraging to her students. She is an easy grader and gives an extra credit assignment, so I pretty easily got over a 100% in the class. However, her rubrics for assignments are extremely vague and she doesn’t include all necessary information you should have to do the assignment. Because of this, several people had to completely restart major papers at the very last minute, even needing to completely change their topics only a couple of hours before it was due. This is the case for nearly all assignments. It is easy to get an A, but you will be panicking over almost every single assignment for the course. And the major papers are very long. Overall, she is a wonderful human being but not necessarily a great professor.
