Amazing professor, super engaging and fosters great discussion. Really communicative and cares about you as a student - I had to miss several classes because of other life happenings and he was super accommodating. He's just a very pleasant and genuine prof! Looked forward to every day of class with him |

Nothing but kind words for this professor. He knows the content incredibly well and takes a vested interest in how well the students understand the material. He is very easy to reach out to, so definitely take advantage of the fact that you have a professor that is easily accessible for all of your questions. Be respectful towards him and the class and he will show the same respect back. The professor is understanding of every student's personal and academic standing, so taking a personal day for your mental health or to study for other classes is fine in limitation, just be sure to reach out to him ahead of time. We are humans who just happen to be students, and he recognizes that. Classes are never boring and the assignments are always thought-provoking. Can't speak enough praise. |

He's definitely a good professor and pushes you to think very deeply about medieval literature. The class isn't flat out easy though, maybe because I took it online and I didn't know much about medieval lit until I took the class. It's definitely challenging (heavy reading): weekly quizzes, weekly discussion boards, two response papers that are due before you actually talk about the text in class meaning you have to read the book or text and write a paper on it in advance (which was a bit of a shocker but it was fine once you get used to it), two other essays (midterm and final), and then two short discussion leader "papers" (only like 300 words). |

This class is easy. You only have to do 3 short papers, 1 long paper, a midterm and a final. I have taken many ENGL classes that assign much more writing. He is really into what he teaches, and doesn't beat around the bush. He will flat out tell you that the characters "fuck like bunnies." Overall, a fun guy and an interesting class. I would recommend it. |
