Super chill, knowledgeable guy. 340 is one of the tougher ASTR3XX courses, but Professor Moss made the course a good bit easier by providing plenty of lecture notes on all the conceptually hard topics. Both the midterm and the final exam were open note; you could use anything you wanted except the internet on the midterm, and was only restricted to handwritten notes on the final. There were a total of 5 homework assignments, which were a bit time consuming, but took no more than 2 hours each if you paid attention in class. There were also participation discussions for each lectures, and post-lecture quizzes due the day after a lecture. Overall, the course was structured very well, and Professor Moss gave you all the resources you need to succeed. |
