Absolutely love Jeff's teaching style and structure. Definitely, a class where you get what you put in where spending extra time outside of class helps a lot for the midterm deliverables and final deliverable + presentation. Would recommend taking Jeff for an intro business class. Really enjoyed the cumulative course structure which is very additive each week. Exams are not that hard if you take some time to study the slides and in class notes.

Dr. Mund is the absolute goat. He's very personable and engaging in class, and it feels like he cares about each student's success. The way he teaches the content in class is extremely easy to follow and understand, and he makes difficult concepts very clear. The SmartBook assignments are a pain, and they feel pointless as the only things we get assessed on are what's covered in class (ChatGPT definitely helped with this). The semester-long group project is a very practical way to teach how businesses are run. I highly recommend taking this class and specifically with MUND. Absolute GOATTTTT

Okay professor overall. I didn't mind the class, but felt like I didn't learn a lot. The curriculum barely covers much in depth, it covers a broad spectrum of things but you are only really tested on the bare minimum, which I guess is nice that it makes the class a bit easier, but also I didn't feel like I came out of the class feeling that much more knowledgeable about business. However, for someone with minimal knowledge about business, this class is a pretty good introduction. Jeff teaches by example, using a lot of analogies to help people understand. His class environment and teaching style includes a lot of student participation, and reminds me of high school. However, his slides and SmartBook assignments are extremely long and not straight to the point, and hard to study from. The exams were generally extremely easy, mostly true/false and definitions. Sometimes I found his exam questions to be more about his analogies than the actual content/concept. Also there are discussion posts you have to do every week, and TAs give you a max of 1.9/2 because "nobody is perfect", so it's hard to get an A in the class even though the content itself is really easy. Your grade for the presentation and paper really depends on the TA, sometimes they take off points for no reason. I overall did enjoy the group project though. This class is required for business freshmen, and if you learn through analogy and are eager to learn about different parts of a business, you'll enjoy his class. If you have taken other BMGT classes before, it will be a bit slow. But overall Jeff isn't bad, so I would say go ahead and take him.

As a freshman that was required to take this class, I was totally blindsided by it because I had planned my schedule before I even had orientation. Nevertheless, even though I didn't want to take the class, Jeff made me look forward to it regardless of my reservations. His teaching style is incredible, and you can see he is an experienced teacher. The workload was definitely something because there was a lot of information to cover, but he only puts what was talked about in class on exams so there is really no consequence if you can't memorize the entire textbook. Overall, Jeff was a great teacher, and if I had the option to take another class with him, I would do so in a heartbeat.

Professor Mund is great. He is extremely knowledgeable about business, with impressive qualifications to back it up. He also cares about his student's success and his class is highly interactive. You truly cover all the fundamentals of business. The course is centered around a semester-long group project, with groups selected randomly. You only actually meet in class once a week, you are expected to meet with your group once a week outside of class to respond to a weekly meeting prompt that contributes to the final project though. The coursework includes one midterm, one final, weekly discussion posts (plus a response to classmates), the weekly group prompts I mentioned earlier, weekly SmartBook assignments, and your group’s final paper and presentation. Before both the midterm and final, Professor Mund hosts a two-hour Zoom review session. He spends 30 minutes covering every topic on the test and the remaining 90 minutes answering questions. It is very helpful. A couple of downsides to the class: it’s impossible to get a perfect 2/2 on the weekly discussion posts—the highest grade the TA is aloud to give out is a 1.9. Additionally, Jeff can sometimes come off as narcissistic or rude, which might bother some students. However, I personally had a great experience and found him much better than what I’ve heard about some of the other BMGT110 professors. Overall, I highly recommend taking Professor Mund.

Great professor that knows a lot about business. The class was structured around one group project, where you'd come up with a business idea. Every week we would apply a certain business concept (like finance or marketing, etc.) to our business idea and write a few paragraphs about how it applies. This class has 2 exams: 1 midterm and 1 final, both relatively straightforward and he has review sessions where he only goes over the things you need to know. At the end of the semester there is a group presentation and paper due, but if you meet with your group every week, you should get them done easily. You don't get to pick your group and unfortunately a lot of your success in the class is based upon your group work, but it is an easy A and Mund is a great professor. Grading can take a while which is annoying but overall good class - you'll learn a lot of basic info about business that is helpful in the long run.

Really awesome professor. Epitome of a business professor. He really does love his students. I got a B because I didn't do great on the midterm but an A is def the usual. His review sessions are VERY helpful. He will list out EVERY topic that will be on the exams. I had 1 midterm, and then the final. Most of the content you really want to focus on is his in-class lectures and his slides. You really shouldn't go through the textbook when you're studying in my opinion -> waste of time. During exams he lets you ask questions and if you're on the right track, but just a bit confused, he might somewhat "guide" you to the correct answer. Just make sure you do everything on time!!!

Honestly he’s not too bad since the class is really straightforward. To pass exams, actually go to class and read his slides afterwards. attend the exam review as well to pass. Work is also straightforward to do as outside of class you would have to watch videos since we only met once a week and have a major group project creating a business plan. Depending on your group, it is out of your control on who your members are so good luck with hopefully having people that will do the work since you all get the same grade for it (luckily for me, I had good teammates!) overall, go to class since Jeff is an engaging professor and can be funny at times. His examples of topics will help you understand harder concepts better! Also there was no need for a curve since the class average was in the B+ range for exams!

Really easy class. Jeff is engaging in lectures. The midterm and final is focused mainly on what he covers in class rather than what is taught from the textbook. Jeff is very chill and offers a lot of help and advice. The midterm and final are 50 MCQ online. There's a group project/paper and presentation worth the majority of the grade but not hard and it's graded by TA's. Attend lectures, the content isn't very difficult but Jeff does a good job at explaining all the concepts.

Professor Mund is a very experienced guy. Definitely recommend him as prof. Super flexible with students and a super considerate grader - TA's can be a little harder, though. Not a blow-off class, but exams are extremely fair (come mostly out of lecture) and the workload is certainly manageable. I would suggest when studying to focus on the slideshows he puts together for his in-class lecture as well as the powerpoints for the assigned sections in the textbook. If you study both of these diligently, and understand them, the tests will be a breeze (note: he gives you a good amount of time to take them, plus they're all MC). The work of the class mostly consists of discussion posts, smartbook chapters, and a few group projects, again, all of which are relatively easy. All in all, the class isn't the most interesting and there's definitely work/studying, but Prof. Mund makes it as engaging as possible. If you gotta take it, Mund is a great choice!

The class was more lecture-heavy and there was a greater workload in the beginning, but the lectures were entertaining. The last month or so of the semester there was almost never class, and if there was it was on zoom. He's a smart guy, and though his TA's were responsive and useful. The midterm and final counted for 20% each, but they were very easy in my opinion, and the final was done online. You are most likely to lose points on the papers for your business plan, as the TA's graded that a tad harshly, but it depends on the TA you got. The only downside is that you are randomly given a group at the very beginning of the year to work on your papers and presentation and everyone gets the same grade no matter what, so if they don't do anything, then you have to do it. My group was super frustrating, but you'll likely get a much better group. Overall, good teacher though

Mund made it really easy to learn in a pandemic. You can probably get by without reading the textbook but I would recommend it if you’re a business major. Easy midterm and final based totally on the lectures which he makes super engaging. He calls on random people in class but he doesn’t go hard on you if you don’t know what you’re saying. He provides his slides before the midterm and final. Weekly discussion posts that are a little redundant and Connect activities that are a total waste of time. There is a group project which can be a little tough if you don’t have good partners. He doesn’t have a rubric for it which is also tough (just prompts) and the grades are based on how well other people in the class do which sucks, just make sure you put a lot of diagrams and use vocab from the textbook. There is a presentation for the project but it doesn’t seem to be graded, at least it wasn’t on the syllabus or Canvas. Overall, pretty great guy and makes class fun.

Mund is a really nice and lenient professor and super flexible with deadlines. However, I thought lectures in class were pretty boring and there's a group project worth 25% of your grade that was definitely graded harsher than it needed to be (although, this was graded by the TA, not him). Overall, an A is pretty manageable but was probably harder to get than it needed to be since this isn't a very difficult class.

Not that amazing tbh... he has a big personality which makes him seem interesting, but once you get into his class and listen to his lectures the class is a lot less engaging. Most of his presentations (which the exams are based on rather than the textbook and 100+ question hw assignments he makes you do that takes 1-2 hours to read through and do) are really poorly made and hard to follow. He teaches in a more auditory way rather than visually which can be hard for people who want to take notes during class. He will put either 1-4 words on a slide or a picture and go into profuse details on it which is hard to follow bc he talks really fast and is experienced in the field so he speaks like a business person rather than a teacher. A lot of things he'll talk about in his presentations are also sometimes not even in the textbook. Overall, not a hard grader, and his class is pretty easy, but with reason bc with his teaching, if he was a hard grader there would be a lot of people struggling. Also, he definitely has favorites and will make sure he calls on everyone in class. Honestly, just disappointed by him bc I thought he'd be one of my favorite teachers and he is currently my least favorite as this semester has goneon.
