SOCY100 Expecting a B- Anonymous 12/19/2025 |
Shes okay. Her classes are acc not bad at all, but you just have to attend them. But for me, I have 7:30-8:45 pm, so going to class at that time was hard for me. But trust attending it and doing those assignments in class will get you that A. She's really understanding, she responds to email quite fast, no more than 3 days late. She also gives you extended time if you ask her. She also gives a grade booster at the end of the quarter. Go to class, do the assigemtns and you should be fine. |

I would for sure recommend! I really enjoyed this class, it’s a lot of group work with our tables and notes. There’s no exams or quizzes as well and the professor makes the class really manageable and entertaining at the same time. There were only two papers, and they were both on interesting topics. |

Instructor Murphy is really kind and passionate about what she does. The class is really easy and the workload is not that bad. She doesn't do quizzes or exams, just two papers (at least for this semester). The only reason I give 4 stars is because I would not recommend her if you are genuinely trying to major/minor in sociology because I felt the class did not prepare me that much for SOCY200 next semester. So if you are taking this class for an easy A for a gen ed, I would take her class. |

Very chill teacher compared to other sociology teachers, from what I've heard from my friends, sociology is so much work but here, lectures are genuinely entertaining and chill, the activities aren't crazy difficult and some would say that it's busy work (and it might be) but it's nothing difficult or a pain to do. Easy extra credit available, we watch a lot of videos in class that are decently entertaining, and they definitely know how to keep students thinking and engaged. |
