Dr. Myers is a really sweet and energetic professor with a lot of knowledge about the HESP field. She will go above and beyond for her students when it comes to connecting with others she knows and networking and is clear when she is/ isn’t available. She’s also cool when it comes to applying the concepts we learn in class through projects and in class activities (labs). However, there was a lot of anxiety regarding the final and she was not clear on what to study. She doesn’t have a midterm so we didn’t really know what to expect and she also doesn’t reinforce the material that we learn…which means that we didn’t really remember anything unless we took the time to review every week. She also writes half the stuff that we need to know in the slides and the other half was said in class (meaning you will have to dig it out through the hour long recordings to make sure you get EVERYTHING that you need for your notes). Finally, she is a bit weird with her expectations when it comes to citing sources on projects and requiring students to screenshot/ upload a copy of the sources but it wasn’t that big of a deal in my opinion. My word of advice for the final is to look at the easier stuff and focus less on the complicated things like muscle names and interactions….look at general big concepts and you will do good!
