Very sweet and cares about her students. I'm sad Okamoto sensei is retiring but I had a wonderful semester and learned a lot about koto techniques. She expects students to rehearse with the Toho Koto Society off-campus outside of class (on Sundays) for a few hours, which can be very difficult with transportation and individual commitments. Kimono fitting at her house was also a bit hard to navigate without a car. She gave us two pieces to practice, which were both not too challenging. Great instructor with many achievements, very talented and knowledgeable about koto playing. |

Overall a rather difficult instructor. Although knowledgeable, she expects about 2 or 3 credits of work/time for a 1 credit class. |
