Alfredo Oliveira HGLO100 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/29/2025	I don't know whether to blame it on Fredo or the content of the course, but it felt like a lot of material was shoved down your throat. It felt like I had to be very careful with what I said and how I said it. For an honors college that is appealing to political science students, I think this class leaned a little strongly to one side too much. At least from memory, my class's discussion of intersectionality felt like a "who can max out their victim status" session. I would still say he is a very nice person and easy to talk to. He also didn't make it hard to get an A from my experience and what my fellow classmates told me. However, I didn't feel like I took anything valuable away from the class.

For what is essentially just UNIV100 for HGLO students, he treats this class like it's the most important one in your courseload. Come to class a few minutes late? Kicked out. Disagree with the professor? There WILL be a passive-aggressive email about it after the fact, because of course he's too afraid to speak it to your face. An absolute waste of time and one of the most walking-on-eggshells experiences I've had in my academic career. I know a few people whose GPAs were lowered because of this joke of a class, and it's all because of the professor's attitude.
