She does not know how to keep her students engaged. She is nice but her teaching style is extremely boring and she doesn't actually teach what's relevant to the course. She did not put in any grades besides one assignment for our midterm grade and even during finals week, most of our stuff is ungraded. Don't recommend taking the class with her but if you absolutely have to, it's not super horrible

This is a pointless class with an even more pointless professor. She won't explicitly say that attendance is mandatory anywhere in the syllabus, but will then last minute add an assignment to ELMS where attendance is graded. This is on top of never having any final grades in for any assignments. Don't take this class with her.

omg don't take any class with her. her lectures are super boring (there would be max 8/20 people in class). she will teach you mind-numbing stuff like syntax, and types of clauses, and basically things that people with 60+ credits should already know. she expected us to write an amazing case study without actually teaching us how to do the appropriate research for it. not to mention, we never wrote a single investigative report for a class tailored towards investigative reports. we spent so long on writing resumes and cover letters, which most people know how to do. she also never graded anything. so we didn't know our actual grades for the class the entire semester; not even before finals week rolled around. again, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES.

I was initially worried about this class being very difficult and a lot of work, but Professor Omogbadegun made it a rewarding and smooth experience! She is one of the friendliest professors I have had at UMD so far and genuinely takes an interest in each student's progress throughout the semester. The class has several writing assignments that are large undertakings. However, Professor Omogbadegun presented them in ways that made them seem much easier to handle and provided lots of support for each student through every step of each paper. Attendance is mandatory but it is worth it because you get to work on your projects during class time. She has a lot of class discussions which can be daunting for those more introverted like myself, but they are very helpful in brainstorming for your paper topics. I highly recommend taking ENGL398C with Professor Omogbadegun!
