Professor Park was a really nice professor and was very understanding. She was very clear in her teaching and also made the instruction for presentations and speeches clear for students. She was a very fair grader and went straight off the rubric. I was glad to have her as my professor for COMM107!

She instructed my COMM107 class. Communications is more of an effort class in my opinion, but she makes approaching how to create and make presentations very easy and straightforward. You'll be lucky to have her as a professor.

Overall Misa is a really good teacher for COMM. She grades work in an extremely fair fashion, goes over the class expectations using the clearly defined syllabus, and makes sure that you succeed in your speeches. Attendance is mandatory and a significant portion of your grade, but thats just showing up to class. Speeches are graded off the rubric and how well you execute your arguments and thesis statement. Its easy to get a 100 on your speeches if you are confident in your speaking and know your topic well. If you have the chance, take COMM with her as it will be a great experience and you don't have to worry about harsh grading that other COMM professors practice.

Misa was a straight forward professor and went strictly by the university-set syllabus. All the assignment dates and grading structures were clearly outlined on the first day of class and were available on the syllabus. If you put enough effort in and made sure you checked the boxes on the rubric for any assignment, you will get near a 100(if not a 100 itself). As per speeches, if you clearly deliver your arguments and meet all the requirements outlined by the rubric, you will get a 100. Do note that attendance is mandatory unless you have a valid excuse. The only reason I lost a good chunk of points was because I accidentally missed class a couple of times since I was lazy and didn't want to go to an 8am. Overall Misa does a good job going over all the material that should be gone over in COMM107 and is a really lean and fair grader. If you have the opening in your schedule to take her, you should take her. COMM is one of those subjects where teachers can make or break the class experience with harsh grading for no reason and I'm glad that I did not have to worry about that burden with her as my professor.

Misa was an okay professor. She was sweet don't get me wrong, but she didn't communicate with us well. I think sometimes it was hard to understand directions and what she wanted us to do because English isn't her first language. While the assignments were generally easy and self-explanatory, she would get nit-picky about certain things she wanted to see on our speech outlines- though she previously didn't explain specifics because there were directions to follow. Something nice about her was that instead of having an in-person class every time, she'd do an optional Zoom session if we had questions so we wouldn't have to go in at 8 am. Overall, this class was not hard because all you have to do is give presentations.
