Shawn Parry-Giles COMM296 Expecting an A- Anonymous 11/20/2024	Good teacher, reasonable about helping us in deliberative democracy. Reading quizzes are easy but pointless. Started out by giving good grades but then it became dumb because she and her TA would just lower overall grades no matter the work; they give everyone in the group the same grade no matter the work they do. Nice and reasonable but needs to grade more objectively.
Shawn Parry-Giles COMM398I Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/11/2023	I had Dr Parry-Giles my first semester (Fall 2022). Overall, Dr. Parry-Giles and COMM398I are both excellent. Dr. Parry-Giles is very intelligent, and personable. It is a really good class if you want to deliberate. It is also a class that is graded fairly and is not exceptionally hard. It is a COMM class but, does not count for a COMM general education requirement, so watch out for that. Dr. Parry-Giles was a professor and I would recommend her & COMM398I.
Shawn Parry-Giles COMM398I Expecting a B Anonymous 05/07/2023	Way too much work and reading assigned in class, dont take it unless youre only taking like 5 credits a semester lol. Also, she claims that everyone in group projects gets the same grade, and then arbitrarily decides one member can receive a lower grade. Very contradictory woman, don't recommend the class with her
