So easy. He was also pretty good at responding to emails and gave two opportunities for extra credit too. Take the class, you won't regret.

really easy online class. there's 4 assignments per week (1 chapter reading from the textbook, 1 homework assignment, 1 "quiz" which comes directly word for word from the textbook, and 1 discussion post). really easy and takes under an hour to get all the week's work done. no midterm or final. if you need an easy gen ed / grade booster i definitely recommend this class!

The course isn't hard-- exams and quizzes are super easy (I mean super easy) and open book, note, internet. But this class was very disorganized. Oftentimes I would take the quizzes and some of the questions would be marked wrong when they were right. The professor did correct this after I emailed but this happened a lot and honestly the whole course felt sloppily put together. All of the homework was just textbook exercises and the readings were the textbook and YouTube videos. The exams and quizzes were just questions that we the students made for our reading assignments. That's right-- the professor didn't have any original materials in this course. I don't think a professor should be expected to write all notes and homework entirely from scratch but here Patrick was really just a grader, not really a professor. I could have done all of this on my own and taken a different elective instead. Oh, also another thing-- our syllabus listed that we would learn about SVMs, logistic regression, neural networks, and a few other things, but so far we have not touched on this at all in the readings or assignments. I would take him if you just want the grade but if you want to learn and be challenged (and feel like you're actually taking a class...) take another professor.
