She is a wonderful professor, in class assignments are very easy and helpful. The exams are also easy- Multiple choice exams, two in person (closed note) and the final online (open book but cumulative). There are 2 reading reaction papers, 1 reflection paper and a "what works" paper that is 100 points. She is a very lenient grader, and she has a lot of knowledge about the topic. I would definitely take this class again with her, super interesting and I love the guest speaker and the review session. |

Love Prof. Porter, she is super understanding if you've missed an in class assignment. Her grading is fair, especially for papers (which there are 4 total) and her exams do require studying but she gives review sheets beforehand and her final is online. Class is interesting and she rarely uses the full time. |

If you have adult responsibilities (work, etc.) don't expect any understanding. Also, expect your grade to be low because in-class assignments have the same impact as an exam on your overall grade. |

I had Dr. Porter for CCJS342 and thought she was decent. Class never lasted the full time and it was slightly slow but it was easy and she definitely knows what she is talking about. |
