Dr. Gardner was fantastic! The lectures were very helpful and she always answered quick plus helped when needed. There were 3 exams (including the final) and not cumulative. There was participation assignments so you had to be at each class because you never knew when they were going to be. There were reflection papers and maybe 2 big other papers which seems like a lot but it's not and they're easy if you show up, take notes and pay attention. My only issue would be that you don't get any feedback on the exams, I guess unless you ask but idk I never did so who knows. She does tend to make faces like someone said, but she's not condescending at all lol. Would she make faces if you asked a stupid question or gave a bs excuse to why you couldn't turn in assignment you knew about and was reminded over and over? why yes. But she was super sweet and funny! A really good class and great professor. |

If you are looking for an interesting and easy elective, I highly recommend this course. There is a good amount of work to do, but she offers a lot of extra credit and is a relatively easy grader. She gives study guides before each exam that essentially tell you everything that you will be tested on. There is a textbook, but she covers everything important in her lecture slides, doesn't assign any reading, and nothing on the exams will be from the textbook. There are 3 exams including the final, a couple of easy reflection essays, an online presentation, and one larger observation paper. There are occasional course participation assignments that will pop up randomly during the semester, so I'd recommend going to class as frequently as possible. I am not sure if she will be teaching this particular course again, but if she does, I recommend signing up for it if it interests you or if you need the credits. It is essentially an easier psyc100 class. |

Dr. Gardner was quite condescending at times. When you ask a question she tends to make a face...not sure how to explain it. Also, she does NOT respond to emails or responds to them super plate. I had a family emergency (life or death situation) and asked for an extension, she didn't respond. Otherwise, the class is so easy, it's basically psych100. The concepts seem repetitive, and I found it boring at times. |

She's great. It was such a fun class. It was a great environment where the class can discuss relevant topics openly. You do need to do some work, but not hard at all. |
