Dr. Radice is an amazing teacher and I wish I could have him for my other classes. His lectures are easy to follow with tons of examples. His lecture slides are very technical and similar to the textbook, but he will switch from slides to working problems which are very thorough, neat, and detailed. His goal is to ensure we are fully understanding the concept/problem before moving on. Dr. Radice truly cares about his students and is a great guy one-on-one. He does have a good sense of humor so he likes to make jokes here and there. For homeworks, they are more challenging than the problems in lecture, but going in for help is a great way for success. For exams, he pulls one problem from homeworks, one problem from lecture, and creates a new problem. Attending lecture and reviewing example problems and homeworks are the best ways to be successful in his class. |

If you ever see him teaching this class for the upcoming semester, take his class immediately. He is genuinely one of the better professors at UMD, especially among all the mech e professors. He teaches the material really well. He will use another lecture to go over the material again if he received feedback of students not understanding the previous lecture, and the exams are fair. |

Dr. Radice is the best engineering professor at the University of Maryland. He has amazing lectures, and he absolutely gets the most out of his students. He finds a way to make dense material simple to understand and really interesting. I've been seriously slacking off this last year as I am about to graduate and will not be working in the field of engineering, however, he reinspired me to learn and enjoy doing it. If you watch all of his lectures, you will be absolutely fine. He is super funny and engaging, plus he always teaches something useful so you never leave feeling like you should've stayed in bed. Usually, I learn strictly from the books and ignore my professors, but in 361 I never had to get the book because Radice taught the material so well. He always goes way above and beyond any expectations to make sure he is adjusting his curriculum such that he can best teach his students, and I've never met a single person who hasn't said amazing things about him. Do yourself a favor and take his class!!! |
