I took this class because of personal interest in content, and I would say it was definitely very dense and a better fit for EDHD majors. The lectures were twice a week and there was so much content to cover throughout the course that I often couldn't keep up with the slideshows. First exam was 40 multiple choice questions, closed note and in person on a lockdown browser and that was SO hard to study for considering how much material we had learned in that first section of class. She switched it to online and open note afterward, which was really nice and helpful. Other assignments include an in-class assignment at the end of each lecture and there is a final group presentation, neither are bad at all. Additionally, Professor Ramirez is such a sweet woman and has the perfect bubbly personality for teaching which was a plus! She seems really passionate about development and language especially, so definitely take her class and talk to her if that's something you're interested in, too. |
