Professor R is nice and it was her first time teaching the class but it was pretty boring. We learned about a lot of useless topics like self care and respect and other stupid little things like that- but I don't necessarily blame her for that. The assignments for this class were also often useless and excessive and she was pretty strict with grading which is really annoying for a 1 credit intro class. The entire class was her going through slides and talking, sometimes we'd work on an assignment, but honestly it was just a class for me to work on other stuff in. The only thing that was useful was that we had to create resumes and get them reviewed. She's not a mean professor but this class has so much busy work and strict grading. |

This class is not as bad as everyone else is saying. Yes, it can feel like busy work at times, but as long as you actually do the assignments and pay attention to the guidelines, it’s easy to get an A. The workload is more than you’d expect for a 1-credit course, but none of it is difficult. Saher is also really nice and as long as you follow the instructions the class is very manageable. Not my favorite class ever and definitely a lot of work for a one credit class but it's not THAT bad. |

Worst class ever! This class completely ruins the program of Public Leadership for College Park Scholars! It's a 1 credit course but I did more assignments for this class than any other. The assignments are useless and don't give you anything insightful. It is such a shame that this class exists because PLCY201 is such a great course with Professor Washburn but CPPL100 completely ruins that image. If you don't type your answers by a specific paragraph requirement you get a lot of points taken off and if you don't have a small detail it could drop your grade by a letter. Horrible class! And the TA grades so harshly. |

Absolutely terrible class. Each week, we discussed useless topics that were not applicable to any aspect of our college lives. Despite being a 1-credit course, each week we had a reflection, which was at least 400 words on top of other things like outside of class community service, building a website, required resume reviews, which have no scheduled times and are only available from 1:30-3:00 when people have classes, and much, much more. On top of all of this, grading was very unforgiving. Answers for the weekly reflections were usually able to be completed in one sentence, but because our answers were not long enough, she would give grades as low as 30%. Avoid taking this class unless it is being taught by the other professor . |
