ASTR350 Expecting an A Anonymous 11/17/2023 |
The absolute GOAT. Pretty interesting lectures, and all around a super nice and knowledgeable guy. If you want an easy class, he assigns one easy hw assignment every week plus a midterm and final. The rest of your grade is just showing up to class. Doesn't get better than him. Would also highly recommend 350 specifically |

Chris is the best. It honestly does not get better than him. This course was expected to be quite difficult, and yet he kept everything relatable and self-contained (still challenging, but completely doable). He's very insightful and knowledgeable. He always has a positive attitude and is just a pleasure to be around. |

The easiest class I've ever been at. Take this class if you want an easy A. Extra credits for even showing up to class. Always gives you extra time for finishing hw. No final. Just 1 midterm, which is a joke. Basically all you have to know is velocity = distance/time. class participation is also not important. you can play games on your computer while in class, and he doesn't even care. I've seen this old guy who usually picks up his phone in the middle of the class and talks about having dinner. Want an easy A? You got it! Take ASTR320! p.s. Hey Business majors...you want an easier class than yours? take it and cruise through it! |

Probably the best professor I have had at this university. He makes the class really interesting and its really not hard to sit through the hour fifteen minute lecture. Hands out his powerpoint notes so you can just take notes on them and then he posts them online if you miss class. Should be a straightforward class if you are good at math. |

This class can be hard. Getting a B isn't too hard but getting an A requires some dedication. However, the professor is incredible and the information is fascinating. He obviously loves teaching as well as astronomy. If you're a physics or engineering major and you're comfortable with deriving equations this is a great class to take. It's the only class I have that I'm always excited to go to. I had him for 120 as well and it was just as good (don't take 121 without 120, it's doable but difficult). |

This class is kinda tricky. He assigns the book, however the tests are all from his class notes. He focuses 90% on the physics of the class and his tests are physics based. If you want to ace this class you will need to be able to take a basic physics formula and derive it into something useful for your problem. Overall he is a good teacher. He's very nice and class is amusing and interesting. |
