Vera Rhoads INST352 Expecting a B Anonymous 01/31/2025	Free class if you can deal with grades never being put in, 4 quizzes and 2 essays deciding your grade, going to every discussion session. She was kind of flexible with deadlines as she extended the quizzes and allowed for multiple submissions on them as well. I didn't have to learn any of the material except when doing any of the 6 assignments but only skimmed to include some of the material in my essays to act like I knew what I was talking about. Prof Rhoads is fine, she responds to emails and texts but don't get your hopes up. TL;DR Free class if you're willing to gamble with your grade, take another Professor if possible.
Vera Rhoads INST352 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/03/2025	One of the worst teachers I have ever worked with. She is super uncooperative and does not seem to care about the concerns of her students. I finished the class with an A+ but did not receive grades for 7 of my major assignments including my final grade. Communication was horrible and her lectures were often cancelled or cut short. Every student in every section of INST 352 struggled to get in contact with her and receive any sort of help. I feel as though I had to teach myself everything and I learned nothing from the professor or sitting through the lectures (when they were hosted).
Vera Rhoads INST352 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/23/2024	DO NOT TAKE. This is by far the worst professor I ever had, never responds to emails, terribly taught. The class is so unbelievably easy and yet she has fucked me over so hard, that I have no idea what my grade is going to be at the end of the semester. I ace all my other info sci classes, but her academic malpractice has costed me. What the other guy said about her is all completely true.
Vera Rhoads INST352 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/10/2024	The course itself is simple but don't take this professor. She cancels lectures without notice and never answers emails. We only have 6 assignments (2 papers, 4 quizzes) in canvas right now and only half of them are graded and none of the 13 discussions we did are graded. She takes forever to grade and often puts in incorrect grades. Her slides are very difficult to read and are not formatted correctly. It was so bad that some students emailed the dean of the info college. She also doesn't follow up on her actions, she says she's going to do something but never does. You can still get a good grade/A in this class, it's just annoying to deal with these issues and because of the small amount of assignments (6), if you get even a few points off it could really bring down your grade.
