Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/23/2024	Dr. Roy's class is very eye-opening. He dives into a lot of topics that aren't discussed enough these days, especially around men's mental health. He's very approachable and shows a clear passion for the topics he is lecturing about.

Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/18/2024	FMSC190 with Dr. Roy is an engaging and very insightful class. We had two exams (one was a final), a few discussions, and some papers, but it was all very manageable. Dr. Roy's lectures were always interesting and made attending class worthwhile. You learn a lot about men, as I learned a lot about their perspectives on life. Plus FMSC190 fulfills the SCIS credit, so if you can, take this class!
Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/02/2024	Easiest Gen Ed in the world! It fills out an I-series which is super important. I took it over the winter so I don't really know what it's like in person. But the work load was super easy and manageable. Just do the work and you get an A.
Kevin Roy FMSC381 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/11/2023	I changed my major from community health to family science because of this course. You learn so much and dr.Roy made my experience better. He is a good lecturer and made this class relatively easy. This class doesn't require much besides few quizzes, writing a few papers, and 3-4 exams throughout the semester that are open note. Would take another class with Dr.Roy if possible.
Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/30/2023	Learned so much in just three weeks. Genuinely considering adding Family Science as a major because of him and this class. If you need SCIS or whatever other gen eds this class does TAKE IT because it will totally change how you view men, no matter what your gender is. You can do a week's worth of work in one day. He has only one weekly zoom meeting at a random time and it's not required just extra credit, totally doable with whatever you've got going on during break. Fits in really well with a lot of different disciplines, like crim, psych, soc, health, public policy, etc just a really engaging topic no matter what you study.
Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/09/2023	This class is very easy and you honestly don’t really need to go to the lectures as the information is common knowledge usually. However, he does not believe in giving on 100s. He also does not give out A+. You will have to write two papers, one midterm, final, five movie discussions, and Friday quizzes. There is no class on Fridays and he’ll give you a 5 question quiz instead. There is a group project that was really easy.
Kevin Roy FMSC190 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/21/2021	AMAZING CLASS!!!!!! SO INTERESTING!!!!!!! if you put in enough work, the assignments are meaningful and easy to do well in. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND FILL OUT THE REVIEW SHEETS and you will be SET for the exams. The class has an essay, project , exams, and discussion posts to complete your grade. This is helpful because no particular assignment is determines your grade. TAKE THIS CLASS W PROF ROY!!!!!!!

Kevin Roy FMSC381 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/19/2013	I'm just gonna throw this out there - Kevin Roy changed my life. Ok, maybe not. But FMSC381 with Dr. Roy was one of my favorite classes of college - it opened me eyes to so many new aspects of our society that I was simply unexposed to for the first 20+ years of my life. Also, Professor Roy is just a great lecturer. He brings in a lot of statistics and relevant, practical examples that really highlight the points he is trying to convey through out the course, Plus, he really keeps your attention, if you know what I mean. The only downside of the class is that it's at 9am. But honestly - it's worth it. There are a bunch of assignments and papers, but they are all very doable if you give yourself enough time. Also, Dr. Roy is a very fair grader, so if you put in the work, you'll likely do well. A genuinely sweet professor, really interesting course content, and a class that changed my outlook forever. Takeittakeittakeit!
Kevin Roy FMSC381 Expecting a B Anonymous 07/20/2010	Dr. Roy is a great lecturer, he lectures outside of his power point slides. If you pay attention in class and keep up with the readings this class should not be difficult. There are two projects in this class but if you start them early you will be fine.
