Dr. Naz is really awesome and sweet! She's always willing to talk to students, I was bringing some psyc students around for a tour once and she let us into her office to chat for a bit. In regards to her class, I loved the case style and how we analyzed the same case in different ways, but some of the TAs graded SO HARSHLY while others were super chill graders, so it felt like pure luck if you'd get a good grade bc of who was assigned your grading each time. Overall a really interesting, well structured course with extra credit opportunities! |

Everyone that gave 5 starts must be white. As a counseling psychology professor she was not understanding and almost pushed me to my limit. I had to explain my entire life story just for a 6 point assignment. If you take her be careful of the TA’s as well as they gave me different responses on everything. I thought I was going to get an A- in the class and ended with a B because of the final paper I was told I did well on by a TA but received a D. Many of my other colored friends had problems with her as well… If I was a sally or emily maybe my problems would have been taken more serious. |

I love her, she is always accommodating and takes student feedback into consideration. She's very sweet and the class is incredibly interesting. If you go over her mini-lectures and are able to apply all the concepts you are all set for the exams. She gives helpful examples of everything we learn as it is a very application-based class. |

I've taken two classes with her and have received A's in both. Most of her classes tend to be blended learning, so we come to class on Monday and Wednesday, but only have an assignment due on Friday. Her exams were pretty straightforward, and all I did to study for them was look over the slides. She's also really approachable and understanding. |

LOVE DR. NAZ! She is so awesome and funny and actually engages people in lecture by making it kind of discussion based, she isn't just sitting there reading info off of slides the whole time. She brings up real world topics and examples and people share their opinions while Dr. Naz shares hers too, it helps to understand certain psych concepts by relating them to real world stuff. You have 1 midterm exam and 1 final. She gives you the chance to earn some points back on your midterm (super nice of her). You also have a couple papers to write, and some activities that are to be completed by the end of class time on fridays...because she doesn't make you come on friday, just the activities have to be done which is super awesome. Would definitely recommend this class or any class with Dr. Naz! |

This class was pretty easy. You could get by without putting in toooo much effort, but it still is required. Just study the notes from class and the exams are based off of those exactly. Dr. Naz is super nice as for the class itself, it is interesting material most of the time, but personally I dreaded coming to the class. I don't know what it was exactly. It might have been the gross classroom we were in or that I wasn't very interested in all the lectures, but I really didn't like it. I did enjoy discovering more about myself through this class and applying what I learned to real life. I wouldn't NOT recommend it, I guess it really depends on the person. |

Dr. Naz is the best! The class material is interesting and actually had me thinking a lot about it outside of the class as it related to my everyday life. Make sure to show up to class but if you pay decent attention and do the work there's no reason you can't get an A. The class consisted of 4 small 2 page papers, a midterm and final, and a group project that runs throughout the semester |

Love Dr. Naz! Recommend taking this class as an upper level elective (i'm not a psych major but made friends in the class who were psych majors so i could study with them) make sure you attend lectures to take notes as the exams are almost all solely based on lecture material. They are multiple choice exams but can get tricky so make sure you study An A in the class is very doable |

course material is dry at beginning of the semester, similar topics as social psych so it was boring. 2nd half of the semester was much more interesting. we had SARPP presentations (google them immediately if you havent heard of them). overall a good class, she is open to student concerns and is the material is not hard. tests were tricky because she asks very open ended questions, that combined with multiple choice didnt make test Qs easy. discussion board posts are easy (5 of them). papers (2 pages each, 4 of them) were easy. 1 group presentation, wasnt hard. class discussions (when they occurred, like 5 times this semester unfortunately...) were interesting. lecture was informative. i think this was an off semester for her but i would definitely recommend her!! |

As another reviewer says, psyc336 can be incredibly raw. The only thing I disliked about this class is that Naz was too nice when these topics came up and asshole men in the class decided it would be a good time to say how Disney princesses *should* be drawn the way they are, and even harder things like overt victim-blaming. |

-really nice; responds to concerns via email pretty quickly -syllabus is pretty thorough of what is expected -lecture slides are VERY helpful -really engaging and enthusiastic lecturer -papers are very specific |

Overall the course is very interesting and can be a very good application of other psych classes information, most notably psyc221. But, I will give a word of warning, a majority of this classes material is not easy to swallow and is depressing. You will spend around 50% of the semester learning about how the media, culture, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape, are all very serious problems affecting women. However, that being said, I will admittedly say that this class is not difficult. In fact the average grade is an A-. So, if you need a relaxed upper level elective or a diversity credit, go for it. |

This class is awesome. I will definitely suggest that all psyc majors and all wmst majors take this. Naz is awesome and great to talk to. If you ever have any problems with any of your grades like on an exam or on any of the papers just go talk to her about it, she really is great about speaking to students. The class is also pretty straight forward. Just write exactly whats asked for the papers and you'll get full credit. The exams, just do the study guide and you'll have zero problems. Definitely a great upper level to take! |

Interestingly enough, my favorite part about this class was the end of the year paper we had to write! The paper combined all the information we learned that semester in a fun way! Dr. Naz is a great teacher! She always double checks with her students to make sure everyone understands her teachings. |

Naz is the best professor in the psychology department. She is friendly, intelligent, engaging, and a great professor. Her classes are informative but not too heavy on the workload. Take a class with her! |

Love her! Dr. Naz is not only really pretty but she's also very nice and cares about her students. She encourages discussion in class and always provides us with online lectures in addition to videos to help us remember the material. She offers extra credit and her tests are straightforward. We had guest speakers as well. I think this is a good psychology course to take because it is not difficult if you study and come to class. It's also informative and you will never feel overwhelmed by the workload. Just do it! |
