Alban Sauret ENME202 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/25/2025	Very responsive to emails, gives a ton of practice for tests, sometimes there are questions on the tests that he didn’t cover but very fair overall, good lecturer, slight French accent if that bothers you.
Alban Sauret ENME202 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/21/2025	Good teacher, easy homework’s and studios, provide a lot of practice tests and exercises. Sometimes there is unseen information on the tests( a small true or false or multiple choice about a fact he didn’t cover) but not too bad. Good option
Alban Sauret ENME202 Expecting a B Anonymous 12/12/2025	Coding is something that never came naturally to me and so I definitely struggled with some of the concepts throughout the whole semester. I won't end this class with the best grade but I still think Professor Sauret was a great professor, he clearly cared about students understanding the concepts, replied to emails, and was helpful during his office hours. He makes practice sets by hand for each lecture that have exam-style problems, and I found these super useful after using AI to help explain the answers I was confused on as I worked through them on my own. He also posted practice midterms for MATLAB and Python which had the same exact structure as the one we actually took, which were very fair and helped me get an idea of what to expect. In terms of lectures it's pretty difficult to take notes for this class so they felt relatively useless, and Sauret does have a bit of an accent that's hard to understand sometimes, but there was plenty of practice material and that felt like enough to get me through the midterms. I definitely think you'll have a leg up in this course if you have prior programming experience since this is a very surface level programming class, but if you suck at coding or have never coded before you'll be fine as long as you put in the effort to work through all the practice he provides. Would definitely recommend.

I mainly taught myself MatLab/Python because there's no good way to teach coding other than showing what lines of code do, and not because Sauret was a bad professor. He does have a slight French accent but I don't think it hinders communication in any way. There's also weekly studios but if you complete them ahead of time and show a TA, you can get signed off for that week, which I found really helpful since my studio wasn't at a very convenient time.
