What a wonderful professor. I took this class as an English major, so I thought this was going to be one of those hard English classes that takes up a lot of your time. My experience was quite the opposite. There were weekly assignments that required you to write a poem or short story (which were graded on completion as long as you reach the minimum word/line count), and a weekly workshop during which you critique the works of others. Aside from some other discussions that don't really take a lot of time, that's the bulk of the work for this class. It's really not a lot at all, and the professor is very accommodating. They are INCREDIBLY thoughtful and always looks out for their students. If you ever are busy or going through something, they are always willing to sit down and talk about extensions or other ways to ease the workload of the class. Even if you aren't an English major, you should take this class with them. |

Absolutely love this professor! So accommodating and engaging, with constant opportunities to bring your grade up. This is the type of course where you don't have to worry about your grade and you can really just enjoy the experience. Being surrounded by others with similar passions or interests was such a cool experience and they made the environment so welcoming. The workload isn't the lightest but none is difficult per say, honestly, it was a great outlet for me and I found myself looking forward to doing assignments. I raved about this professor so much that my boyfriend actually sent them an e-mail thanking them for being so awesome...could not recommend more! |

Great Great Great Professor! You would really enjoy having them as a professor or TA. They always work around your schedule to make sure that you can always meet the deadlines or make sure you're understanding the content happening in the class. Overall they work with you more than anything, making sure that you don't feel overwhelmed with work sometimes. There can be a lot of busywork at times though, so don't take this class if you are trying to skirt by without doing anything... so big no no. You can easily fail this class lol. But talk with them and get to know them, you'll find them quite enjoyable and fun! |
