Darren Shillingford MUED155 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/10/2024	Professor Shillingford is the best prof ever! He would bring us healthy snacks during class (pita chips, hummus, halos, etc). His feedback is very extensive however you will not fail this class if you try. He recognizes no one is perfect and although the feedback may seem like he's just picking on you, I promise he is so supportive. Also, this class requires a ukulele and lots of singing. Learning the basics of the uke may sound scary however it is not with Prof Shillignford. Literally any education major looking for a fine arts, THIS IS THE ONE TO TAKE!!
Darren Shillingford MUED155 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/16/2023	Class is chill and easy, as long as u put work into it. you have to buy a ukelele and eventually play a few verses of a song, its not terrible, he gave me a B when I stopped playing a bunch of times in between. only con is the class was 2 hr 30 mins once a week.
Darren Shillingford MUED155 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 11/29/2022	I had Darren and Bri'Ann for MUED155 and they were both so good!! The class is really fun, you learn the ukulele and get to create music lessons (teaching episodes) for the class. There is no exam or testing, just teaching episodes (4), ukulele checkpoints (4), and a final project where we created children's books. There is some out-of-class reading involved and you have to practice your ukulele but otherwise, the course load is very manageable! I have really enjoyed my time in this class and highly recommend it!!
