Honestly saves me in Calc 3. Sometimes he takes a while to get on track with his explanations, which can be annoying sometimes, but often it helps set up the proof. He has a good grasp on Calc 3 and explains it well. Def better than most professors. |

You can genuinely skip lecture and learn off of Sudheer. Smart guy, can explain everything thoroughly and step by step. Lectures can often be confusing, but Sudheer makes it simple and understandable. He always answers questions, and clearly explains the material. Definitely makes this class 10 times easier, I can't thank him enough. Highly recommend!!! |

I typically walked into Sudheer's discussion sessions very confused about the content from class, and always left with an understanding. He is very personable, and makes sure that every student is caught up in what we are doing. He is very well spoken, and answers every question asked with a well thought out answer, no matter how simple the question. Anyone who has him is extremely lucky. |

Sudheer is my current TA for MATH241, he is an amazing TA. He explains concepts clearly and is puts special emphasis on making sure that his students understands every concept thoroughly. Even when the lecture was horrible, Sudheer was able to save my understanding during discussion. Absolutely a great TA who is definitely saving my grade. |

Sudheer is absolutely the best TA I've had as a student at the University of Maryland. I am a freshman taking Calc 3 and his guidance in the class, both through discussion and his office hours, have saved me. He has thoughtful responses to questions and always wants to help. Overall, he is a very kind man who teaches the content of the class exceptionally well. I can't thank him enough! |

STAT400 Expecting a B- Anonymous 05/17/2024 |
Sudheer was my TA for STAT400 with Mestiyage Gunatilleka, and let me say, he has some ups and downs, but he is not that great of a TA, and even treats students unfairly with grading. As mentioned, he was my TA for STAT400, and normally that class is pretty easy considering in past semesters the average grade was around a B or higher, and students were allowed cheat sheets, etc... Well that really isn't the case anymore, but that still doesn't excuse the way Sudheer graded. For example, homework is usually graded based on clarity, completeness, and pretty much if you did the work. When it came to other students I knew in the class that had 100%s on HWs with WAY less work, I, and many other Sudheer students, got 35/40, or would lose .25, or .75 points on work that simply needed to be commented, and his notes weren't even as helpful, even though we writing work on work just to show how to do the question. Next, R projects. This is what primarily made me a bit angry about him. R projects are not even as important in the class as they make up 10% of your grade, so the TAs (not including Sudheer) in this semester and past semesters have gotten nothing but 100%s if you just follow the directions and gave a minor explanation for the questions that the projects were asking. I went above and beyond and wrote paragraphs, but Sudheer decided it was not good enough and even added comments that I should've added "something else" when it was never stated in the directions to do so. With that, if you take STAT400 and you have Sudheer as your TA, please switch classes/sections and save yourself the trouble of him grading your work. He is a terrible grader and makes STAT400 look like a living hell. STAT is normally supposed to be a breeze, hence the high grade distribution, but when he comes in, your grade starts to really worry. I will say, he did do review sessions that were semi-helpful, but most of the time he took just going over parts of the study guide that Mestiyage didn't go over in class. |

MATH141 Expecting an A- Anonymous 02/09/2024 |
Sudheer was my TA for MATH141 and he SAVED ME in this class. The absolute goat. He held exam reviews before every exam, sometimes holding multiple review sessions for an exam, and was super understanding if anyone needed to miss discussion and didn't penalize you if you didn't have a doctors note or something like that (we only got one free pass to miss discussion). He always answered every single question you had exhaustively, and would help if you ever asked for it. If I could give him a six star review I would. I had Eoin Mackall as my professor, and Sudheer taught me the content way better than Eoin did. GOAT. |

I think this is the right Sudheer. I had Sudheer as my TA for MATH141 and he was a lifesaver. Sudheer didn't send practice exam solutions quickly as my TA last semester did, but he's extremely accommodating and wants his students to succeed. If you ask him questions and attend his exam reviews, you'll be utilizing him well :) |

MATH113 Anonymous 12/19/2021 |
As a recent review mentions, it does seem like he's a new professor here at UMD. Although I found his teaching to be entirely useless, I think that's a problem related to what I need versus what he provides. However, he has very available office hours and really wants to see his students succeed. Moreover, he prescribes a lot of review practice and previous exams as a way to review. If you have to take MATH113, I would recommend trying to find a more adequate professor. Also, I can confirm that he sometimes sent out review materials and solutions that were incorrect or at the very last minute. Despite this, his review materials were extremely relevant to the quizzes he gave and are absolutely worth using. He is far from the worst that UMD has to offer and is a very shy but kind individual. But do be warned, if you have to take MATH113, you may have to learn a lot of the material on your own if you don't vibe with his lectures. I also recommend reviewing whatever math you were taking before his course, as the first week was really an eye-opener as to what the expected baseline of math comprehension was. |

MATH113 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 12/06/2021 |
Sudheer seems like a new professor. He is a very timid teacher and gets flustered easily but thoroughly explains topics through the lecture. Although his lectures may be hard to pay attention to, he is very dedicated to helping students learn. I have never met a professor to have such open office hours. He sat with me during office hours for a whole 2.5 hours to go over review problems. I know people who have met with him on weekends via zoom to go over problems and he replies to emails very quickly! He really seems to care so if you are willing to overlook his nervousness, you can learn. He also gives out review packets for exams and quizzes that help soooo much. I can see how people might not like him though because he is very introverted and doesn't connect with the students via lecture but if you meet with him one on one you can understand the material better. |

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!! Never knew what he was doing, sent out review material the night before or morning of WITH INCORRECT ANSWERS!!! This class should've been easy, but he made it terrible. Save yourself and pick any other professor. |
