She is a super friendly woman who is passionate about the topic, but I have to agree that she makes lectures a bit confusing and, to add on to that she is a harsh grader and expects a lot from her assignments. She is understanding, but makes the essays/tests especially hard to do well on because the lectures don't fully prepare you well. |

Professor Singer was a good professor. The class overall was not the most interesting topic. I think they need to update the description of the class, as I thought I was going to learn more about the history of photography, but I felt like I learned more about the beginnings of photography and how it was used in not-so-positive ways. The class consisted of 2 essays and one big final essay. Overall, her lectures weren’t that interesting and were confusing at times, she is definitely passionate about the topic but doesn’t do the best job at teaching it. She is a nice professor with good feedback. |

The class was good but a little dull. The professor seemed lost at times with how she wanted to structure the class, and I'd say a good prior understanding of modern art history is needed to fill in the gaps of her teaching. Overall. this wasn't my favorite art history class, but the class work was easy with 1 final exam, a research paper, and weekly discussion posts. |

Not the best arth class I've taken. Her lecture style is lackluster and can be confusing if you're looking for a straightforward approach. You have to have a good knowledge of modern art to fill in the gaps. I was bored for a lot of the class, but the workload was very light so it wasn't hard to get a good grade. |
