The other review is an absolute joke, don't let it sway you away from arguably one of the best professors at Smith. Pablo is extremely passionate about ensuring that all of his students understand the course content. He is approachable, understanding, and charismatic. He fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment. The one thing I will agree with the other reviewer is about participation, he takes it very seriously, but as long as you show up and ask questions now and then, he will remember your name, and you'll be fine. |

Class consists mostly of group cases and a final. The cases were way harder than the lecture material but were graded relatively easily. The final was a take home case and was graded a bit harder than the group cases. 30% of the grade was participation, which he took VERY seriously- the average participation grade for the class was a failing grade. Since everything else was graded relatively easily and the class was curved your grade is basically determined by how much you participate. Lectures were relatively simple and easy to follow but didn't really prepare me for the cases/final. |
