Tami Smith
IDEA101 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/08/2024 |
Professor Tami is cheerful, excited, and invested in her student's success, even if she comes off as if she is teaching elementary school. The class, however, is truly infamous among Carillon students for how awful it is. On the first day, you attend a big lecture among carillon students, which for me was led by a narcissistic and disrespectful lady who would passive-aggressively announce "I'm waiting" whenever students started talking. Then for the next four weeks, you will attend Radical Health lectures, led by a TA, which basically "help" students adjust to campus. There is nothing to say about these other than that they were a massive waste of time. After these weeks you will arrive at the real class. They tell you on the first day that one of the missions of the class is to "navigate ambiguity", which is ironic, considering that it is ambiguous what the class is even about. It seemed to me like a class about helping students think of a career path, but it is truly vague. To get the most out of this class, treat it like a bad comedy, do the assignments, and run away with an easy A. Unfortunately, it is mandatory for all carillon students. |
