AVOID THIS PROF. 1. There is no clarity or structure to what is graded and how it is graded. All grades will be done arbitrarily. 2. He is very hard to understand and will be extremely vague in his comments on your work and what is expected 3. He makes 0 announcements on Canvas, so be sure to check your email religiously and communicate with others in the class on what is due 4. Adams may or may not show up to class 5. He assigned work 4 days after the final and 2 days after he was supposed to submit final grades. Of course, no announcment was made on this work, and I got lucky that I checked Canvas(during break).

Absolutely terrible. His class is disorganized. From having 3 case studies due on one night, to having multiple formats for each exam, he is all over the place. His exams are hard, even if you prepare and utilize the cheat sheet... and he was not in class for the second exam - so any questions on the content students had were directed to a random TA who had never taken the class. He does not answer emails and if you speak up in class it is unlikely you will get a response. He confuses students. People rarely come to class, and those who do have no idea what he is rambling about. He also often is on his phone during lecture??? He is a nice guy, but he does not put effort into this class or its content. Slides have no information, review zooms are 10 minutes, and he gives no resources to help.

HE's THE BEST, gave us extra time for projects. Also was very nice about moving finals to online so we can go home early. Just overall was a good teacher just hard to understand sometimes.

Interesting and decently knowledgable guy but if awful with grading and communication. Is very hard to reach and does not respond to email frequently. Was a group work based class and did not help accommodate my groupmates being absolutely useless dumbasses. Bad course.

As a senior at UMD, he is the worst professor I've ever had. While he seems knowledgeable in supply chain/transportation as a whole, he does not know how to teach AT ALL. I've never seen someone make the simplest concepts so difficult and confusing for no reason. His lecture slides are lacking so much information, he doesn't know how to explain concepts, never answers emails or communicates with the class, decides not to show up to lectures with zero notice sometimes, and makes exams unreasonably confusing and difficult for no reason. Our class had a 60% average on the exams which is ridiculous for an "introduction" level class in the business school. It's a shame because he seems like a very nice guy but he is an AWFUL professor. Do whatever you can to avoid taking this class with him if you don't want to lose your sanity.

Steven is the worst professor I've ever had, I agree with every other 1 star review here. He is incredibly disorganized and is unable to communicate in any form (no emails, talking in person is only option but usually isn't helpful). He expects you to know complex econ formulas and concepts, and will not explain how he solved a problem. If you ask him to explain, he will mention some concepts that we have not gone over and then move on. He knows too much about supply chain, and he is unable to simplify it to teach this class successfully. Take anything he says with a grain of salt, because most of it will not be relevant for the course. Exams are incredibly difficult as well, but he does curve. Genuinely, avoid him at all costs. This class could have been interesting with a better professor.

This class is very easy. The only assignments he gives are SmartBooks, which you need to get a 100 to complete the assignment, and weekly discussion boards. There is one midterm and the midterm and final are both online. In the beginning of the semester you are assigned to a group in which over the semester you have to create a business and then present it to the class. Theres no real reason to not pass this class and I would recommend if you want a simple, easy class.

This is my final semester at UMD, and he is the worst professor I have ever had by FAR. Very unresponsive and does not communicate important things online. One time he just didn't show up to class with no heads up and didn't even acknowledgement it after. Tests are unreasonably difficult even if you prepare well and he's just not good at teaching to students. If there is any way you can avoid him, you should.

This is genuinely the worst professor I have ever had at the university. He genuinely does not know what he is talking about EVER. His grading makes no sense and is VERY unreasonable, and his exams are just ridiculous. Had his exam in class, and he claimed a student reported that everyone was cheating. He gave me a very poor score on an assignment, saying I plagiarized because I copied the questions from the assignment to respond to each one individually, and it flagged Turnitin. It doesn't matter if you email because he won't respond, and if you talk to him in class, he will have no clue what you are talking about. If I could give him no stars, I would. I am not sure how the university allows him to be the only professor to teach this class, or, honestly, let him teach at all.

This class was pretty boring, I took it for my major. The professor is super nice and honestly pretty funny, but he isn't the best teacher. It felt like he had a hard time explaining concepts to us because he simply knows so much more, so it's hard for him to teach at an intro level. The exams are pretty hard, and I studied a lot for them. The best way I found to study is to just read all the chapters and review the slides. He also let us have note sheets, which were helpful. Even doing all that, you should still expect the exams to be hard because the questions are so random, and there is somewhat of a language barrier in the way they are written. Overall, the class was fine, not super interesting, but I still learned something, just not an easy A.

The most unorganized professor I have ever taken. Does not answer any emails and just doesn't really know how to use canvas. I took him because I had to for my major and did well in the class because his tests are online. Avoid this professor as much as you can he will make your semester worse.

Professor's exams are literally plagiarized from random Quizlets. His classes consist of him reading off slides, but barely any of this content actually makes it to the exams. The homework he gives is easy and makes up a good portion of your grade, but it's completely overshadowed by just how awful his exams are. He seems like a perfectly nice guy, but he's just not a good professor.

He reads off his slides the whole time and teaches a lot of material without really going in depth or explaining what he's teaching. The textbook he has for the class also isn't helpful at all so for the exams there isn't a lot of material to study from. Even if you study the slides and the quizzes for the midterms it isn't really helpful since his exams are confusing and hard. He makes the questions on the exams very confusing and asks for the "best" answer but will make sure each of the answer choices can be debated as the right answer. Even though he's a nice guy his exams are too hard and detailed for the way he teaches in class.

HORRIBLE. Have never had a professor as rude, unorganized, and incompetent as him. It's clear that he doesn't know how to teach (ex. expects us to remember complex econ formulas) and really shouldn't have been allowed to. It's his first time back teaching since 2019 and shows. I also requested to have more assignments (which I would never normally do) because we had no experience or practice for our first exam- and he made fun of it in front of the whole class! Really, truly, I hope he doesn't teach again but if he does, avoid him at all costs.

Avoid this professor at all costs - he is one of the most incompetent and unorganized professors at the school. The exams are difficult and he expects you to know the intricacies of supply chain management (even though a lot of students are also international business majors without a supply chain background). He also takes forever to grade and give feedback.
