Tracy Sweet EDMS451 Expecting an A- Anonymous 01/09/2026	Dr Sweet is a decent professor and likes to make sure everyone is engaged and following along. She doesn't do random popcorn style calling, though. Highly recommend 451 with her, especially for anyone who's a non-math major looking to satisfy their statistics requirements. Quizzes and exams are, in fact, open note, and you get to make a one page cheat sheet for exams. HW once a week due Thursdays, and usually 2 TA's to help with questions. Final exam is optional if you choose to accept 80% of your exam 2 grade for it. Multiple office hours available per week. Attendance is 10% of your grade, and if you go to class, you'll do fine. The content in R is useful and easy to learn.

I think it was her first year teaching this class, but as long as you come to class everyday, you will do fine. 3 exams, optional final. Short homework once a week due Thursday night. 5 quizzes throughout the semester. All based on class slides. Great class to learn R basics while learning base level stats. Highly recommend her.

There are weekly homework assignments worth 10 points that are easy, and five quizzes. Quizzes and exams are open-note. She gives points for making a study guide for exams. Tip for the exams, the questions are very similar to hw and quiz questions. She doesn't give a study guide/topic list for exams, just Kahoots?? The final is optional if you do really well on exam 2. You’ll probably need to teach yourself the material, but the class is easy enough to get through. Watch the lectures. No discussion section. Sweet is understanding if you have a relationship w her so go to her office hours
Tracy Sweet EDMS451 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/21/2025	I think Dr. Sweet is a great professor! She teaches the material really well and posts her lectures so you can review. I gave her a 3 because she can be rude at times. When students in my class would ask questions she treated them like they should already know the answers (although it was a topic we had just learned). I would recommend her because the class is easy and she teaches the material well she just has a tendency to be inconsiderate towards students.

Tracy Sweet EDMS451 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/20/2025	Dr Tracy is an amazing professor. She does an awesome job breaking down the content into interactive examples, plays Blooket on exam review days, and does her absolute best to accommodate you with your needs. All you have to do to succeed is show up to class. The content is easy and mostly elementary R and basic stats. Highly recommend as a replacement for BMGT230(the weed out bstat course) for those in business. She will work with you during class, after class, and in her office hours. She will guide you herself or will refer you to the exact slide you’d need to clear up any confusion. I don’t know what the others are on about. I highly recommend Dr Tracy, and will take her again if I can.
Tracy Sweet EDMS451 Anonymous 10/22/2025	SHE SUCKS!!! Do not take this professor. Insensitive, brings her sick kid to class, and can’t teach. She literally said we didn’t have to learn a certain concept because it will never show up and then she puts it on the midterm…. I would give her a zero but that’s not an option

She constantly says that if you need help then you need to go to office hours. The only reason you need office hours is to be taught because she sucks at teaching. Love her as a person. Dislike her as a professor.
